Fraud Warning

If you are authorized by a firm that trades foreign currencies to commit funds for that reason, you have to be very cautious. Read the warning signs listed below, and take the following measures before entrusting your funds to any currency trading company.

1. Don’t Believe in Opportunities That Sound Too Good to Be True

The schemes that promise to make you rich quickly, especially those involving foreign currency trading, are likely to be frauds.
high_techBe especially careful if you have obtained a large sum of cash lately and are looking for a safe investment. Especially retirees with an access to their funds can be attractive targets for deceitful dealers. If your money was stolen it would be hard or impossible to return them .
Be very suspicious of firms that promise profits, or that advertise too high performance. Very often those claims are false.

• "Despite market movements, in the currency market you will make a profit."
• "Gain $1000 per week, every week"
• "We are out-performing 90% of domestic investments."
• "The main advantage of the forex markets is the absence of bear market."
• "We guarantee you will make at least a 30-40% of return in two months."

2. Avoid The Companies That Guarantee Little or no Economic Risk

Beware of firms that understate risks or state that written risk exposure reports are usual formalities imposed by the government.

The currency futures and options markets are unstable and are full of substantial risks for ingenuous clients. This is not the place to put any funds that you cannot afford to lose. For instance, retirement funds cannot be used for currency trading. Trading foreign currency futures or options contracts you can lose most or all of them funds very quickly. Therefore, stay away from companies that make the following types of statements:
• "With a $10,000 deposit, the maximum you can lose is $200 to $250 per day."
• "We promise to compensate any losses you have."
• "Your investment is protected."
